Accident on Cumberland Street Sends Man to Hospital

THUNDER BAY – Police were kept busy last night with a motor vehicle accident involving a pedestrian on Cumberland Street.

The auto pedestrian accident occurred at approximately 8:08PM EDT in the 100 block of North Cumberland Street. The area was taped off and raised concerns from many that a serious incident had happened in the area.

A male was struck by a car and taken to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

The Traffic Unit was on the scene investigating and police state that the investigation is ongoing.
