Kenora OPP Arrest Man for Assault on Resident

KENORA – The OPP in Kenora report, a Kenora man has been arrested after allegedly assaulting a 56-year-old Kenora man.

The Kenora Ontario Provincial Police, state that twenty-five-year-old Ethan Copenace of Kenora was charged with assault. He appeared in Kenora Ontario court July 29 and was held in custody.
On July 28, at about 9:30 p.m., Kenora OPP officers were called to investigate an assault in progress at an apartment building on First Street South in Kenora. After the arrival of emergency personnel, the victim in the incident, a 56-year-old man from Kenora, was transported by Emergency Medical Services with life-threatening injuries.
The North West Region Crime Unit and the OPP Forensic Identification Unit are conducting the investigation under the direction of Det. Insp. Randy HEIDA of the Criminal Investigation Branch.
Copenace’s next court appearance is July 31, in Kenora.
