Rochester – SPORTS – The Border Cats lost the second game of their two game series 5-4 in Rochester Minnesota Monday evening.

Starting pitcher Johnny York (St. Mary’s) went six innings allowing three home runs on four hits while striking out six. Nate Steger (Winston Salem) took the loss for Thunder Bay pitching 3.1 innings striking out three while allowing only one run on five hits.

Thunder Bay’s own Carter McEachern (Trinity) put up three RBI’s on three hits for the cats while Grant McKown (Florida Tech) notched one run and one RBI for the team.

The Cats start a two game series in Mankato Tuesday night at 7:05pm CST / 8:05pm EST.
