THUNDER BAY – ROAD UPDATE – Spring and Summer are full on Construction Season in Thunder Bay.

River Street from Rockwood Avenue to Pine Street will close to through traffic on Thursday, July 2, to facilitate storm sewer construction.

The work is expected to take one day to complete.

Local traffic access will be available to Grandview mall and Madeline Street North.

Edward Street from Arthur Street to Victoria Avenue will close to northbound traffic starting on Wednesday, July 1 to allow for road construction and widening.

The work is expected to take up to five weeks to complete. The section will remain open to southbound traffic to allow access to properties and businesses.

The construction schedule is subject to change, as various factors – such as weather – can have an impact on project timelines.

Motorists travelling in the area are asked to be cautious and obey all posted signage.
