Weather AlertDRYDEN – WEATHER – A low pressure system over Northern Minnesota State is generating an area of showers and thunderstorms which are tracking into portions of Northwestern Ontario. Although general rainfall amounts of 15 to 30 mm are expected some locations could experience as much as 50 mm of rain by early Friday morning.

The conditions are not expected to continue into Saturday and Sunday.

Special weather statement in effect for:

  • Dryden – Vermilion Bay
  • Ignace – English River
  • Fort Frances – Emo – Rainy River
  • Seine River Village – Mine Centre
  • Kenora – Grassy Narrows – Whitedog
  • Sioux Narrows – Nestor Falls – Morson

Local rainfall amounts up to 50 mm are expected.
