TbaytelTHUNDER BAY – BUSINESS – Tbaytel is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Kathleen Jones as its vice president of sales, marketing and communication.

Mrs. Jones originally began working at Tbaytel in 2001 and joins the executive management team after serving as the company’s director of marketing and communications since 2007.

“Since joining Tbaytel, Kathleen has demonstrated a tireless dedication to the Tbaytel organization and a clear commitment to the customers we serve,” says Tbaytel president and CEO Dan Topatigh. “Through her contributions to marketing and communications, she has been instrumental in fortifying Tbaytel’s market-leading brand presence and I have every confidence that she will continue to demonstrate that same commitment as she moves forward in her role on our executive management team.”

Tbaytel Mrs. JonesAs director of marketing and communications, Mrs. Jones gained valuable experience in the management of major strategic initiatives with Tbaytel. Under Mrs. Jones’ leadership, Tbaytel was the first worldwide Fast 100 carrier to offer BlackBerry products and more recently, the company has also been successful at establishing a direct sales relationship with Apple Canada.

Prior to joining Tbaytel, Mrs. Jones worked for Computer Mind and Air Internet, both operating out of Thunder Bay, to aid in their growth and development. She spent a 10-year period working at some of Canada’s premiere advertising agencies including BBDO, MacLaren: Lintas and Stringham & Grant Tandy. Having managed accounts for Chrysler Canada, General Motors, The Real Canadian Superstore and NN Financial, Mrs. Jones is well-versed in sales and marketing strategy.

Mrs. Jones combines her strong background with a working knowledge of Tbaytel’s longstanding history, a customer centred focus and a strategic approach.  Her wealth of experience and innovation will bring continued strength to Tbaytel’s strategic planning process.

Mrs. Jones graduated from the University of Winnipeg continuing education computer science program and has also completed the Lakehead University leadership development in marketing program.

She currently resides in Thunder Bay with her husband and two children.
