THUNDER BAY – POLITICS – Thunder Bay Mayor Keith Hobbs is endorsing and supporting the Guardian Angels and their growing presence on the streets of the city.

Mayor Hobbs has been out with the Guardian Angels, and says that Ian Hodgkinson the head of the group in Canada has been sharing information with him as the Angels continue to grow in the city.

Hobbs shares that he is going to take a seat on the Thunder Bay Police Services Board, and is looking toward making community safety issues a stronger part of his second term in office.

Thunder Bay has what appears to be a growing issue with crime, much of it fuelled by drugs and substance abuse. Hobbs says groups like the Guardian Angels can make a real difference for residents, especially senior citizens.

The Guardian Angels are reaching out across the city, and finding a really large support base. The men and women are local residents who are stepping up to help.

“I want the Thunder Bay Police to get the handshakes, hoot toots, and support that the Guardian Angels are getting”, states the Mayor.

I am putting out a plea to the City of Thunder Bay to get out and join the Guardian Angels,” says Hobbs.
