Lakehead ThunderwolvesGuelph, Ont. – SPORTS – In a crucial final game of the regular season, Alex Robichaud came ready to play, scoring 21 points and leading the men’s basketball team to an 89-74 win.

Of course, it was a full team effort from the ‘Wolves, as three other players reached double digits, including Ashaunti Hogan, who hit five three-pointers to finish with 18 points.
Lakehead got out to good start, leading 41-26 after the first half.
Guelph would make a run to begin the second half, narrowing the lead to 45-39 five minutes into the third Q. But Lakehead would find an answer in Mor Menashe and Ashuanti Hogan, who together hit 3 three’s in the final four minutes of the quarter.
Saturday also saw the return of Anthony McIntosh to the line-up, who went on a feeding frenzy in the paint, scoring 15 points on 6-of-10 shooting with 9 rebounds and 4 blocked shots.
Robichaud clocked an incredible 38 minutes, and hit two of his four three’s in the final quarter, in which he had 11 of Lakehead’s 26 points.
Guelph had four players score in double digits, led by Dan Dooley and John Wallace with 12 points each.
Coach Manny Furtado said,”I’m really happy with how our guys responded today. We competed and executed the game plan. We made some shots and played tough defense.”
