THUNDER BAY – The Lakehead Thunderwolves Men’s Hockey Team lost their home opener at Fort William Gardens on Friday night. The game started well for the TWolves, getting off to a fast 2-0 lead.

The York Lions start their scoring late in the first period after falling behind 2-0.   #23 Dylan Smoskowitz buries his 1st of 2 behind the Wolves netminder Jeff Bosch before the end of the 1st period.

He would go on to score 3, as York went on to win 6-4 in front of a disappointed crowd who had hoped for the Wolves first win after jumping out to the early lead.

Thunderwolves goaltender Jeff Bosch was helped off the ice later in the game after a freak backwards stumble into the boards while playing the puck caused him to collapse behind the net.

The two teams battle again tonight at the Fort William Gardens at 7:30.
