Thunder Bay Police Lay Charges

THUNDER BAY – A motorcyclist and motorist have both been charged after an accident Monday night in Thunder Bay.

The accident happened at the intersection of River and Cumberland Street at about 7:30PM.

The motorcyclist suffered a hip injury and was transported to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre after a collision with a car.

Thunder Bay police state that the collision happened as a forty-seven-year-old motorcyclist made a lane change and a thirty-four-year-old driver collided while the car was making a turn.

The motorcyclist has been charged with making an unsafe lane change . The driver of the automobile has been charged with a turning violation.
