THUNDER BAY – Canadian residents can fish licence-free in Ontario from July 6-14 2013. This move by the Ontario Government  providing families with a fun and affordable way to enjoy the province’s beautiful lakes and rivers.

“Fishing is a great way to spend some time outside, enjoying all the natural beauty this province has to offer while participating in a popular pastime. I encourage you to check out one of the many fishing events taking place this year and join in with family or friends,” stated David Orazietti, Minister of Natural Resources.

Across the region fishing offers families not only a fun activity but a way to engage with nature on gathering of food.

“Fishing is not only a great outdoor sport, it also brings family and friends together for some fun and relaxation, commented Raymond Zee, President, Ontario Chinese Anglers Association.
