THUNDER BAY – The Graduation Ceremony for the 2013 OSHKI -Pimache O Win (New Beginning) celebration was held in Thunder Bay today. The graduates included Suzanne Ostlund, Kristen Owen, and Brenda Spade who received their Pre-Health Sciences Certificate. Gloria Collins, Tracy Gagnon, Margaret Kakekapetum, Jennifer Meekis, and Stephanie Paavole who got their Native Early Childhood Education Diploma.

Naomi Chikane, Sheri Desmoulin, Rhonda Goodman, Michelle Harel, Lesley Mathe, Greg Moe, Ryan Kakakeep, and Themainia (Amy) Winter received their Social Services Worker – Native Specialization Diploma.

It was with a sense of pride and accomplishment that the graduates accepted their new roles, and new directions.

Education is a New Beginning 

The path forward, for some of the graduates is more education, and for others a trip into employment.
