Ontario Provincial PoliceKENORA – The OPP are investigating the death of an individual who was discovered outside of the Best Western Lakeside Inn in Kenora. The  Ontario Provincial Police were called to the Best Western Lakeside Inn early Sunday morning.

Guests at the hotel contacted OPP complaining of a disturbance at the property at about 3:45 a.m. Officers arrived to find a man lying in the street. OPP also observed that a window on the fourth floor of the building had been broken.

OPP investigating death

The injured person, a male, was transported to the Lake of the Woods District Hospital where he later died of his injuries.

Ontario Provincial Police have not released the deceased man’s name pending notification of next of kin.

The Forensic Identification and Crime Investigation Units have been brought in to assist in the investigation.
