Sault Ste Marie PoliceSAULT STE MARIE – Crime – Sault Ste Marie Police report, “On March 17, 2013 at approximately 11:30am the accused is alleged to have stolen a 2004 Chev pickup truck from the area of Langdon Road. The accused then smashed the passenger side window of a Dodge pickup truck but police had been alerted to the area. The accused ran from the area but was tracked down by police K-9.  As a result the accused Cody Blaine Cuthbertson age 26 was arrested and charged with theft over $5000, possession of stolen property over $5000, attempt theft over $5000, mischief and trespass by night.  Cuthbertson appeared in bail court on March 18, 2013 at 10:00AM EDT”.

Further, SSM Police share, “On March 18, 2013, at approximately 2:45am it is alleged that the accused attended at an east side Mac Mart and stole various food products, leaving the store with no attempt to pay for the items. The accused was located a short time later on Wellington Street East and at that time gave police a false name. After obtaining a proper name officers checked the accused and found there were outstanding warrants held by the City police and the OPP. The accused stands charged with obstruct police, theft under, breach of probation and breach of an undertaking. The warrants held by the city police included failing to attend court, failing to attend prints and breach of probation X 2. The accused Tina Waboose age 24 of 140 Bawating Street did attend court on March 18, 2013 at 10:00AMEDT”.

Break and Enters/Other Property Crimes:  (Thefts, Mischief Reports, etc.):

In the early hours of March 18, 2013 in the area of Westridge Road a vehicle window was smashed out and the vehicle was entered. Unknown what was removed at this time.

A short time later another vehicle was entered in the 800 block of North Street. Again the vehicle window was smashed out.

Another vehicle was entered in the 900 block of Great Northern Road and damaged included: broke the backup camera off, pried the door with a screwdriver and punctured the door lock.

Another vehicle was entered in the 60 block of Woodhurst Drive and the culprit went through the vehicle.
