QueensTHUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Sportop Midget AA Queens are providing updates from the Minnesota Thoroughbreds Tournament in St. Paul:

1st game – Friday, Nov. 23rd against Milwaukee Junior Admirals, Queens won 5 -0.

Scoring for Queens and game winner: #10 Alison Ross assisted by #12 Kaley Tienhaara & #17 Sam Strassburger

#16 Karli Nummikoski unassisted

#7 Natasha Nicholl unassisted

#17 Strassburger, assisted by #11 Bronwyn Bolduc

#11 Bolduc, assisted by Tienhaara

#30 Jayde Turcotte earned the shut out by stopping all 12 shots while the Queens had 18 shots on the Milwaukee goaltender.

2nd game – Saturday, Nov. 24th against Grande Prairie Storm, Queens lost 3-1. Scoring the lone goal for the team was:

#12 Kaley Tienhaara, assisted by #17 Strassburger & #21 Michelle Carlson.

#35 Sydney Isbell was in net stopping 19 shots while the Queens had 29 shots on Grande Prairie goaltender.

3rd game – Sat. Nov. 24th against Westman Wildcats tonight at 4:40pm.
