THUNDER BAY – There is going to be lots happening in Thunder Bay’s south core on Saturday, September 8th. The Fort William Business District is hosting the Fort William Fall Street Festival. There will also be Riverfest and the Doors Open Thunder Bay 2012 going on across the city from 10AM until 4PM.

The Fort William Fall Street Festival will have entertainment, food booths and fun.

Another fun event is the Doors Open Thunder Bay. Every second year in September, historically significant sites in Thunder Bay open their doors to the public free of charge allowing citizens the opportunity to explore community, culture and heritage through a variety of self-guided walking tours, guided historical tours, exhibits, photos, and stories illuminating some of the architectural and historical features of our City’s past.

Tons of food including samosas, jerk chicken, Mexican tacos, kettle corn, sweet potato fries, bannock, poutine, hot dogs, sausages, snow cones and much more!

It’s tons of fun for the whole family including a children’s area, clowns, Shriners train, face painting, balloon animals and a inflatable bouncy castle! Throughout the whole day there will be performers on stage including a fashion show by Flare Athletics and 4am in Thunder Bay Association. They perform music from Adel and Taylor Swift as well as music from country, blues and other pop songs.

Demonstrations by Soengkono Martial Arts will also be spectacular! They will be demonstrating Tae Kwon Do, Alkido and Pentjak Silat.

And don’t forget about the amazing vendors and their goods! We have everything from jewelry, sunglasses, t-shirts, Disney movies, E-Bikes and art from local artists.

Also come check out the display booths put out by local organizations and charities.

So come on down to the corners of May Street and Victoria Avenue to see what Fort William Business District has to offer. It will be a great time Saturday, September 8, 2012 from 11:30am to 5pm with great fun, food and friends!
