June 5/12 Presentation by Commander Craig Skjerpen, Captain of the HMCS Charlottetown

public events Thunder BayTHUNDER BAY – You are invited to attend a presentation by Commander Craig Skjerpen, Captain of the HMCS Charlottetown, which was deployed with ship and crew off the shores of Libya with Standing NATO Maritime Group 1 in March 2011.

The Charlottetown was assigned as part of Operation MOBILE to support NATO operations enforcing UN Resolutions 1970 and 1973: condemning the acts of the Gaddafi regime against protestors and calling for an immediate ceasefire.

The presentation will be followed by an opportunity for questions and answers.

When: 7:00 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 5, 2012

Where: Lakehead University, ATAC 2001

What: Part of the speaker series organized by the Thunder Bay Branch of the Canadian International Council (CIC). The CIC is a non-partisan, nationwide council established to strengthen Canada’s role in international affairs. The presentations are free and open to the public.
