April 5 – 2012 Annual General Meeting of The Friends of Chippewa Park

Sleeping GiantTHUNDER BAY – Events – Thursday, April 5 is the date for the 2012 Annual General Meeting of The Friends of Chippewa Park. A key part of this meeting will be an important update from the Parks Division on proposed changes to the park.

TFOCP President, Lorraine Lortie-Krawczuk said that “there will be a series of announcements by the Parks department affecting almost every area of the park, with some removals as well as additions to what the park has to offer. We are also pleased that the Recreation and Culture Division will be on hand to outline their plans for 2012.”

In addition, there will be the annual election of one third of the Board of Directors, discussion of the programming plans for this summer and the usual reports from the officers.

The meeting is being held at the CAW hall located at 112 Gore St. West and will start at 7:00 PM. Memberships will be available for purchase at the door. The public are invited to attend.
