CIS Wrestling Championships – Three Thunderwolves Go For Gold Today!

ThunderwolvesTHUNDER BAY – Soorts – The Thunderwolves will have three wrestlers competing for gold medals tomorrow: Dustin Helwig (54kg) Emma Brightwell (82kg) and Preston Mikulasik (130kg). All went undefeated on Friday. Karleah Bonk (59kg) will fight for a bronze medal in tomorrow’s final day of action from the Thunderdome.

Other Lakehead wrestlers’ outlooks for tomorrow:

Women-
Breanne Beh – 5th place match (51kg)
Jenny Pranger – 5th place match (63kg)
Sara Cattani – 7th place match (72 kg)
Men-
Scott Christian – 5th place match (72kg)
Jake Devlin- 5th place match (76kg)
Jackson Taylor -7th place match (65kg

The action gets underway tomorrow with warm ups beginning at 9am and the 5-through-8 placement matches beginning at 10 am. Bronze medal matches will begin at 12:30, with gold medal matches following that 2:30 or slightly earlier (if possible).

The matches tomorrow will be webcast on SSN Canada.
