Weather UpdateTHUNDER BAY – Bundle up today! Cold weather and wind chills are the order of the day. Morning temperatures in Thunder Bay are a brisk -21c with windchill making it feel far colder. Across the region there are cold temperatures and further north wind chill warnings in effect. Environment Canada is reporting “Bitterly cold wind chills of minus 45 to minus 50 early this morning, and again tonight into Thursday morning for Fort Severn. Bitterly cold Arctic air combined with west to southwesterly winds of 15 to 20 km/h will result in wind chill values of minus 45 to minus 50 early this morning. Extreme wind chill values will occur again for Fort Severn tonight into Thursday morning.”

For much of the region, snow is in the forecast. For Thunder Bay two to four centimetres are in the forecast. Temperatures in Thunder Bay should warm to -13c today.
