Wind Chill Warning in Effect for Fort Severn – Northern Ontario Returns to Chill Zone

FORT SEVERN – If you are headed out, bundle up. There is a wind chill warning in effect for Fort Severn. Environment Canada says, “Bitterly cold wind chills of minus 45 to near minus 50 tonight into Wednesday morning”. The weather service say, “Bitterly cold Arctic air combined with southwesterly winds of 15 to 20 km/h will result in wind chill values of minus 45 to near minus 50 tonight into Wednesday morning”.

In Attawapiskat, the temperatures at night are forecast to be cold as well. Nighttime lows of -30 to -34c are in the forecast.

For Thunder Bay the temperatures will be warmer, with lows near minus 20c.

Much of western Canada is under below normal freezing temperatures.
