Highway 17 Closed Due to Accident 30 KM East of Kenora

breaking newsTHUNDER BAY – Breaking – If you are headed west today on the Trans-Canada highway from Thunder Bay you will be detoured due to a fatal accident that has happened on Highway 17. The accident which OPP report happened at about 2AM will likely have the highway closed, approximately 30KM east of Kenora until about 2PM CST. There is a detour open to motorists who use Highway 11.

The road conditions are reportedly a factor in the accident.

For those heading west, Environment Canada has ended a freezing rain warning which was in effect earlier today.
