THUNDER BAY – Today may be a day that if you don’t have to venture out on the roads, staying home might be a good idea. The temperature at 08:30AM was 1c, and there is either rain or snow flurries falling. The temperature is expected to drop to minus 8c by later today, which will likely freeze that precipitation and could result in icy sidewalks and side streets.

Environment Canada states, “A few rain showers changing to periods of snow this morning. Snowfall amount 2 cm. Wind becoming northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50 early this afternoon. Temperature falling to minus 8 this afternoon.”
