NAPs Police Detective Sergeant Charged in Drug Arrest

crimebeatTHUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – The battle against drugs is continuing. On December 9, 2011, a ten month investigation conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police culminated with the arrest of a member of the Nishnawbe-Aski Police Service.

Thirty-two (32) year-old Brent Cadeau, a Detective Sergeant, has been charged with four (4) counts of Trafficking a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Cadeau had been suspended since March 2011. The suspended police officer will next appear in court in Sioux Lookout on January 10, 2012.

The Nishawbe-Aski Police Service is the largest First Nation’s Police Service in Canada.
