Jimmy Robert Monias aged 21 died of his injuries

Jimmy Monias (Rest in Peace)THUNDER BAY – Crimebeat – The victim of an Aggravated Assault in the Limbrick Complex in Thunder Bay has died. Jimmy Robert Monias, aged 21 died of his injuries in the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.

21 year old Jimmy Monais had been in hospital in critical condition as a result of the incident. He died at approximately 7:30 p.m. last night.

22 year old Kyle Ivan Rae of Thunder Bay was initially charged with Aggravated Assault. Thunder Bay Police advise that that charge will be upgraded. He remains in custody in the District Jail.

The victim and accused were known to each other. The incident occurred at Rae’s residence. It is alleged that a physical altercation between the two men lead to a head injury for the victim. Alcohol was a factor.

A postmortem examination will be conducted in Toronto this week.
