Road Work Thunder BayTHUNDER BAY – It is still construction season in Thunder Bay. Junot Avenue South remains closed at Walkover Street. Drivers can detour by turning onto Walkover and choosing Picton Street to continue south. Thunder Bay Transit has moved their buses onto Picton for the Junot #9 Route.

As well, Fort William Road between Harbour Expressway and Central Avenue will be closed to through traffic at the CNR rail crossing until Thursday, Sept. 29.

The Harbour Expressway between Memorial Avenue and Fort William Road will be closed to through traffic at the CNR rail crossing from Friday, Sept. 30 until Tuesday, Oct. 4. These closures are necessary to complete road and rail construction work at the CNR tracks. Motorists are asked to plan alternate routes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Further, Simpson Street from Pacific Avenue to Robertson Street will be closed to through traffic from 1:00AM Tuesday, Sept. 27 until 8:00AM, or until work is complete. The closure is necessary for watermain repair work.
