Crime ReportsTHUNDER BAY – Crime Beat – Visit CrimeReports, and you will see that over the past weeks there has been a major upgrade on the site.

The feature allows you to look at what crimes are being reported in Thunder Bay and where. It is a useful tool for neighbourhood awareness, as well as for people looking to move into our community.

The site has expanded its coverage, since new Chief of Police J P Lesveque has taken on the mantle of leadership atop the Thunder Bay Police Service.

CrimeReports Thunder Bay now shows missing persons, calls for police assistance, liquor and drug offenses, theft and robberies, breaking down the crimes and efforts by the TBPS to fight crime in a far better manner than it did only a few short weeks ago. This improvement is going to make it much easier for local residents interested in knowing what is happening in their area to keep up.

One of the best tools for assisting residents in making their neighbourhoods, and by extension our community safer is through having more information on what is happening in our city.

Likely over time this tool will assist in neighbourhoods where residents want to create neighbourhood walks, and neighbourhood watch or Block Parent communities.

CrimeReports is the largest online resource for accurate, up-to-date crime information. The CrimeReports network offers a family of affordable, easy-to-use software tools for law enforcement agencies to understand crime trends and share current neighborhood crime data with the public.
