George Jeffery Soapbox DerbyTHUNDER BAY – Mary Anne Comuzzi, Director of Development George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation is inviting people to experience the “Thrill of the Hill” at this year’s 8th Annual George Jeffrey Children’s Centre Soapbox Races.

For the first time ever The Soapbox Races are inviting adults to take part in an elimination style competition on Sunday afternoon, June 5th. Challenge or sponsor your friends, family, colleagues, or counterparts in a friendly competition to be crowned ‘King (or Queen) of the Hill.’ Your vehicle will be provided and the cost of entry is $50, with the winner receiving a portion of the pot.

The George Jeffrey Children’s Centre Soap Box Races take place all weekend June 4 & 5 at Waverly Park Hill.

The annual race has been a fun community event, growing year after year. In the 8 years of this event, important funds have been raised to support the works of the George Jeffrey Children’s Centre. The George Jeffrey Children’s Foundation supports the Centre in its mission of enriching the lives of children and families by providing programs and services that meet the physical, developmental, and social needs for children with very diverse special needs.
