chess not checkersTHUNDER BAY – Do you know of an amazing young volunteer? The Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers is presented by the Lieutenant Governor to exceptional young volunteers aged 15 to 24.

Through their actions and dedication, young volunteers improve the quality of life in their communities, across the province, throughout the country, and around the world. This honour recognizes Ontario’s finest youth who understand the importance of volunteering and who demonstrate leadership, initiative, and perseverance while inspiring others.  

Do you know an outstanding young volunteer? If so, please nominate them for the Ontario Medal for Young Volunteers.  The deadline for nominations is January 31, 2011. Nomination forms and additional information about the award, as well as other programs that recognize volunteers, can be found on the Ministry of Citizenship and Immigration website.
