Lakehead UniversityTHUNDER BAY – A problem with the water system at Lakehead University has shut the campus down this afternoon. Reports to NetNewsledger.com are that a watermain near the lake on the LU Campus broke.

That has caused the shutdown, as the fire suppression system isn’t working due to the problems with the water main break.

Workers reportedly severed the line, causing the problem. It is expected that the watermain will be repaired this evening allowing the university to open as usual in the morning.
