THUNDER BAY – Tonight the civic election results for Thunder Bay will be available as the counts come in online on the City of Thunder Bay website. The address is: electionresults2010.thunderbay.c

Throughout the day the voter numbers have been released by the City Clerk’s office.

As of 5:00PM John Hannam’s office reports, “There were 19,970 voters at the polls across the city, 24.7% of eligible voters. There were 17,537 voters at the polls by the same time in the 2006 election.

Voter numbers started high as the polls opened, faltered slightly in the afternoon. It is likely that over the dinner hour and until the polls close that those numbers may climb.

The election will see voters elect a mayor, five councillors at large, ward councillors and school trustees.

NetNewsledger.com will continue to offer election updates until the results are in.
