Frank PulliaTHUNDER BAY – Over the course of the campaign, a great number of the candidates for City Council have been talking to NetNewsledger.com to discuss the election campaign, and their platforms. Frank Pullia, who is seeking to move up from Councillor at Large to the Mayor’s office, has been in his words, “Watching the momentum shift”.

The Pullia campaign is running on a theme of “Change You Can Trust”.

Pullia states that the mood for change in Thunder Bay is very strong. “That is how a candidate with no political experience and no business experience can be seen as a contender for the job of Mayor.”

Pullia believes that voters are starting to look at the serious issues facing our community and region. “Voters are now starting to look at the complexity of issues, and at the big picture,” contends Pullia.

“The fiscal situations at both senior levels of government regarding their growing debt levels have the ability to impact future transfer payments that now run up to $30 million per year into Thunder Bay. That has major implications for our city,” said Pullia.

“Those implications are that we must have strong financial hands on experience from the Mayor’s Office to manage the challenges that lie ahead”.

“Managing that risk can be achieved by further diversification of our economy through private sector investment. New vibrant energy from the Mayor’s office will allow our next Council to manage these challenges,” assures Pullia. “We need a cohesive leader at the top who can bring Council together toward common goals”.

“Like Thunder Bay, which is experiencing change, and moving towards the future, I have done the same in my professional life. Over the past year, I have taken my Masters of Business Administration (MBA) at Lakehead University,” shares Pullia. “The reason is that it is critical to properly manage this ever changing social and economic environment that we are facing”.

Pullia is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and has done extensive consulting work in community development projects across the region and the country.

Pullia is set to unveil his complete campaign plan at a public meeting at the Port Arthur Prosvita starting on Thursday at 7:00PM.
