THUNDER BAY – Skies to the west of Thunder Bay appear very dark this morning. While Environment Canada has not issued any Thunder Storm watches or warnings for the city, there are alerts out for much of Northwestern Ontario.

In a special weather statement, EC states, “Today..Over Northwestern Ontario there is a slight risk of severe thunderstorms with torrential downpours, damaging winds, large hail and intense lightning".

As always with weather, it is important to keep a wary eye out on storms or potential storms.
