Heated Football Rivals Take to Field

THUNDER BAY – One of the most heated rivalries in the Heartland Division of the Premier Development League (PDL) is renewed this weekend, as the Thunder Bay Chill play host to the Des Moines Menace. The Menace, who enters the weekend series with a record of four wins, one loss, and four draws, will try to put a stop to the Chill’s hot start to the season.

Games will take place on Friday, June 18th, and Saturday, June 19th, 2010, with both games kicking off at 7:30 p.m. (EDT) at Chapples Park, Thunder Bay.

“Historically these two teams do not play well against each other at home, we are looking to change it this year.” said veteran Chill player, and Co-captain Nolan Intermoia, who spoke about the significance of the match-up. Intermoia went on to say; “We win these two games, we control our destiny to the playoffs. I respect Des Moines because they are talented and well coached, but I do not like them, never have and never will.”
