THUNDER BAY – NEWS – A single vehicle accident has sent one man to Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre and his vehicle heavily damaged. The accident happened at 13:45EST today on Oliver Road between Mapleward Road and Gratton Road.
The first unit of Thunder Bay Fire Rescue arrived on the scene to find the single occupant of the vehicle inside. Crews were able to extract the man from the heavily damaged vehicle.
Superior EMS and Thunder Bay Police Service were also responders to the accident.
Paramedics and fire fighters were needed to provide patient care at the scene and during transport to TBRHSC.
Thunder Bay Police Service Traffic Unit is now investigating the accident.
