Iceland Trip Inspires Local Artists

THUNDER BAY – Local videographers Curtis Jensen and Damien Gilbert went to Iceland arriving on May 5 2014. Now, a year later they are sharing some amazing footage and images from their trip.

Curtis, from AppleWagon Films in Thunder Bay shares, “We traveled to Iceland for the first time and were humbled by its majesty and beauty. Never before had we ever seen or experienced a place so different and inspirational. As we traveled around Iceland, Sigur Ros became our soundtrack, which is why I thought it was only befitting to have it serve as the soundtrack to this video as well”.

“The video was shot exclusively on the Sony HX9V and was entirely handheld. No tripods, sliders or gimbals were used during the making of this video,” added Curtis.

Damien commented how this little camera captured footage that brought him right back to being there in Iceland.

“A year ago we embarked on the most amazing adventure I’ve ever experienced,” said Dman. “The four of us can only explain what we experienced. I would post photos but it didn’t do justice. After seeing what Curtis put together, it really brought me back to that experience. I’m glad we are able to share it with you”.
