THUNDER BAY – The Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Foundation is hosting or co-hosting a variety of events this Fall, all in support of world-class healthcare here in Northwestern Ontario.  Join us!

Caribou Charity Ride – Sunday, Sept 15
Choose from either a 50 km or 100 km ride through the rolling hills of Oliver Paipoonge Township.  More info and registration available online at http://cariboucharityride.com.  Proceeds support the Northern Cancer Fund.

Janssen Inc. Dinner with Food Network’s Celebrity Chef Corbin Tomaszeski – Friday, Sept 20
Taste hospital food as you never have before!  Chef Corbin promises a fantastic evening with gourmet food and entertainment.  Sample apple-wood smoked bison filet with cardamom-pear relish and pancetta wrapped pickerel with spiced cauliflower purée and lemon confit.  Dessert remains a surprise but is sure to please! Run for a Reason – Thunder Bay Miles with the Giant – Sunday, Sept 22
Back again for its 4th year, the Thunder Bay Marathon, Miles with the Giant allows runners and walkers to ‘Run for a Reason’ and raise funds for a charity.  The Health Sciences Foundation is a proud partner in this event and funds raised by participants will directly support healthcare in Northwestern Ontario.  Registration is available online at www.thunderbaymarathon.com.  For those not interested in participating, but who would like to volunteer to cheer on runners/walkers during the day, please contact Lindsey Wychopen at 684-7113.

Boot Camp for Hope – Saturday, Oct 5
Calling all fitness enthusiasts!  Join Kim Chase from Chase Fitness for this popular event.  Take part in a Boot Camp and raise money for the Northern Cancer Fund.  More info and online registration will soon be available at www.healthsciencesfoundation.ca or by filling out a registration form at Chase Fitness.

21st Annual Tbaytel Luncheon of Hope – Friday, Oct 18
In its new location this year, the Victoria Inn Hotel & Convention Centre, guests will enjoy renowned speaker, Maureen Holloway, Broadcaster & Humourous Emcee and breast cancer survivor.  This is always a popular event so get your tickets before they sell out.  $50 each and available at www.healthsciencesfoundation.ca or by calling 345-4673.  Proceeds support the Northern Cancer Fund for breast cancer.
