THUNDER BAY — February 6, 2026 — Thunder Bay Police Service say they are continuing an investigation into reports of criminal harassment after multiple complaints about a suspicious pickup truck in the downtown area.

Police report officers began looking into the matter on January 28, 2026, following repeated reports involving a silver, older-model Dodge Ram pickup truck.

Investigators say a person operating the vehicle has been seen approaching and attempting to pick up females in Thunder Bay’s downtown cores.

Suspect Description

Police describe the driver as:

  • Indigenous male

  • Approximately 40 to 50 years old

  • Heavy build

  • Shaved head

Units Involved

The investigation has involved several specialized units, including:

  • Major Crime Unit

  • Community Oriented Response and Engagement (CORE) Unit

  • Break and Enter and Armed Robbery (BEAR) Unit

Arrest Made

Thunder Bay Police say BEAR Unit officers located and arrested a suspect on January 30, 2026. The investigation remains ongoing, and police are seeking to identify any additional victims who may have been impacted.
