Weather Trivia

Thunder Bay often sits near the transition zone of storm tracks coming out of the Prairies and U.S. Midwest. When strong lows pass to our east or southeast, cold Arctic air rushes in behind them, combining with wrap-around moisture to produce classic snow-and-blowing-snow events like this one—fast-moving, but impactful.
