Hello Westgate families,
Please be advised that there is currently a Hold and Secure in place at Westgate due to a threat outside of the school community. We will provide updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time.
Thunder Bay Police Service is advising of a significant police presence in the area of Arthur Street and Neebing Avenue. Officers with the Primary Response Unit are responding to a call related to a potentially injured individual. As a search for that person continues, residents are asked to avoid the area if possible.
As a precautionary measure, School Boards were notified of the police presence.
