THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay businesswoman Lori J. Paras has worn many hats over the years, entrepreneur, community organizer, and local retailer. Now she’s adding “author” to the list with the release of her provocative new book, Stone of the Saviour: The Return of the She Christ.

In the book, Paras takes on one of the oldest and most protected narratives in the Western world; the male-only leadership of the Roman Catholic Church.

Drawing from historical records, long-buried theology, and her own spiritual experiences, she makes the case that Mother Mary was not only the Virgin, but the incarnate Holy Spirit—the co-Saviour, the hidden Popess, and the suppressed feminine face of God.

“It’s a story about Mother Mary that the world was never meant to hear,” Paras says.

The book traces how a secret “inner order of Jesuits” worked to suppress the Divine Feminine for centuries, drawing connections between Mother Mary, the Holy Grail, and the mystics Helena and Nicholas Roerich, whose “Mother of the World” visions carried echoes of a truth the Church sought to bury. Building on this foundation, Paras dismantles the masculine monopoly on spiritual authority and issues a direct call to the Vatican: Reunite the Pope with his Popess. Let women reclaim the priesthood.

Paras is no stranger to tackling big challenges. As the former owner of The Hub Bazaar, she helped create a space for local makers and small businesses to thrive.

Today, she runs Southside Thrift and Gift, a reimagined retail space that will also host her book launch on Thursday, August 21, from 7:00–8:30 PM at 507 Victoria Ave. East.

“This is more than a book. It’s a movement to reclaim women’s rightful place in spiritual leadership,” says Paras. “It’s time for this conversation to happen not only in our own community of Thunder Bay, but everywhere.”

Stone of the Saviour: The Return of the She Christ is available through major online booksellers worldwide and will be available for sale locally at Southside Thrift and Gift beginning Sat. August 16.

Early Reviews are in:

Lori Paras delivers nothing short of a Religious Rebellion in her book Stone of the Saviour: The Return of the She Christ. Her dedication and conviction to ensure every detail of this interconnected and interwoven tale that has been carried and continued for millennia, is tangible throughout her writing. Be prepared to be intrigued, inspired, and invited to rise in your own Divine Feminine embodiment of the She Christ essence.”

Stone of the Saviour: The Return of the She Christ is nothing short of a revelation. It’s the book I wish I had written—filled with insights that challenge everything we thought we knew about the sacred stories of our world. This is not just a book; it’s a seismic spiritual awakening.”

Every page of Stone of the Saviour: The Return of the She Christ sent sparks through my soul. With so many books on the Divine Feminine out there, it is incredibly refreshing to find a work so unique, compelling, and well-researched. Lori Paras does not take the well-worn road to discussing the Feminine-divine but breaks open hidden passageways I had no idea were there. Without being stultifyingly academic, nor overly whimsical, Paras manages to produce both a personal and scholarly text on the Sacred Feminine, which (I hope) will last as one of the new classics.
