Homicide Investigation Under Way

THUNDER BAY – NEWS – This morning, officers of the Thunder Bay Police Service were called to the 200 block of Pearl Street following reports of a violent altercation. Upon arrival, police located a deceased victim.

Police remain on the scene, protecting the site for investigators. The back of the property is also closed off and a police unit at the scene.

TBPS report there is not a perceived risk to the public in the area.

Suspect Information

  • Status: At large

  • Risk: May be armed

  • Relationship: Victim and suspect are believed to be known to one another

  • Public Threat Level: Minimal—no random danger to residents

Public Safety Advisory

  • Avoid the 200 block of Pearl Street until further notice.

  • Road closures and a police perimeter are in effect as investigators process the scene.

  • Do not attempt to approach or detain the suspect if spotted; instead, call police immediately.
