WINNIPEG – WEATHER – A Freezing Rain Warning is in effect for Falcon Lake and points west in Manitoba as an area of FREEZING RAIN is making its way eastward across Manitoba.

Weather radar indicates an area of freezing rain arcing across eastern Manitoba into the northern Interlake tracking eastward. The freezing rain will continue eastward and lie near the Ontario border by early morning then exit the region..

A few hours of freezing rain can be expected as this precipitation passes the area.

  • L.G. of Pinawa incl. Seven Sisters Falls
  • Pointe du Bois
  • R.M. of Lac Du Bonnet
  • R.M. of Reynolds incl. Ste. Rita Hadashville and Rennie
  • R.M. of Whitemouth incl. Elma
  • Shoal Lake Reserves

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

An area of freezing rain is making its way eastward across southern Manitoba.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance.
