Creating Healing Through Conversation with Theo Fleury

1088

THUNDER BAY – Theo Fleury shared a very powerful and effective talk today with an extremely attentive audience at Confederation College today.

The former National Hockey League star with both a Stanley Cup and an Olympic Gold medal in his resume shared his story of recovery from sexual abuse, addiction, and his journey toward achieving balanced mental health during his almost two-hour session at the college.

Speaking openly and right from the heart, Fleury demonstrated that his greatest gift to Canada wasn’t his play in the National Hockey League, but rather his journey and his dedication to helping others find their way forward in life.

NetNewsLedger will have more in-depth coverage on this visit and talk which will be posted soon.
