Thunder Bay Police Report on Break and Enter and Vehicle Theft

THUNDER BAY – Thunder Bay Police are reporting on a couple of incidents over the past twenty-four hours.

Break & Enter and Theft of Vehicle

A break & enter and theft of a vehicle was reported to police on October 9, 2018, from a complaint who lives in the 100 block of North Algoma Street.

The report indicates that sometime between 9:30 pm on October 8, 2018, and 6:00 am on October 9, 2018, the residence was entered through an insecure window. A number of items were taken including a television, jewelry and the keys to a vehicle. The 2007 grey 4-door Toyota Camry with Ontario BAXF 995 was taken from the driveway and has not yet been located.

Commercial Break & Enter

Patrol officers responded to a break & enter that occurred at the Barb’s Laundromat on Cumberland Street overnight during the early morning of October 10, 2018.

Video surveillance shows the glass in the front door being smashed at approximately 1:45 a.m. and the business entered by a male. The male searched the business and left taking only a few small items.

The suspect is described as a male wearing a dark hoodie, light coloured pants, a toque, a bandana over his face.
