Unifor workers in Fort Frances vote overwhelmingly to accept deal

Fort Frances, Ontario –  BUSINESS – Unifor Local 324 members at Acadia Broadcasting in Fort Frances voted unanimously in favour of ratifying a new collective agreement last night.

Stephen Boon, Unifor National Representative said, “Our members at Acadia Broadcasting were pleased with the monetary gains and key language improvements achieved in this new 4 year deal.”

The new contract includes increased employer pension contributions, improved language and a 7% increase in employee pay over the four year term. Unifor represents over 305,000 members across Canada in 20 economic sectors and roughly 8000 members across Northwestern Ontario.
