Central Canada Outdoor ShowTHUNDER BAY – BUSINESS – Have you had enough of Winter? Time to start thinking about spring? Dreaming of Summer? Enjoy the outdoors while indoors this weekend at the newly renovated Sportsdome and Trampoline Park.

The Chamber of Commerce hosts its 11th annual Outdoor & Recreation Show presented by Performance Kia and Halfway Motors Nissan and supported by OLG, Friday February 27th, to Sunday, March 1st.

With the addition of the Recreation component, Nancy Milani, Show Manager says “In an effort to keep things fresh and interesting we have added a few new sectors. These new areas will offer a lot of interactivity and appeal to a wider range of attendees.”

New this year is the Pet Park – where several pet adoption agencies will be on hand with pets looking for a forever home, the Club House will host several organizations showcasing their programs and March break and summer camp options, and the lifestyle section will have demos on wellness and recreational activities.

The classic sports will still be well represented with the return of the camping, fishing, hunting, boating and cottage, conservation and tourism sections.

The ever popular OFAH kids moose calling contest returns daily along with kids Build A Boat, the photo contest, airgun range, and camo Facebook contest. There are presentations by Gord Ellis, Kym Amonson and her hawk Chinook and several new interactive activities for kids and adults to try like Chuck A Duck, Tallest Tower competition, rowing and saddle practice.

Show hours are Friday February 27th 5pm-9pm, Saturday the 28th 10am-5pm and Sunday March 1st 11am -4pm. Admission $6 adults, 12 and under free. For a complete list of activities, exhibitors and prizes valued at over $8,000 visit www.tbchamber.ca/outdoor
