Fire safety reminder for Thunder Bay residents
Following the fire, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue reminded residents that working smoke alarms and a regularly practised fire escape plan are essential to household safety.
For Thunder Bay families, that message is especially important in neighbourhoods with single-family homes, where early warning and a clear exit plan can make the difference between a close call and a tragedy. Fire officials continue to stress that residents should test smoke alarms regularly, replace batteries as needed and ensure everyone in the home knows at least two ways out.
