Field, schedule set for U15 All-Ontario AAA Championship in Thunder Bay

THUNDER BAY –
The field is now set to see who will be joining the host Thunder Bay Kings, in conjunction with HockeyNorthwestern Ontario, at the upcoming All-Ontario U15 AAA championship, which runs April 9-12, at the Fort WilliamGardens.

Heading to Thunder Bay to take part in the six-team event will be the Elgin-Middlesex Canucks (Alliance); Ottawa Jr. 67s (HEO); Soo Jr. Greyhounds (NOHA); Vaughan Kings (GTHL) and the York-Simcoe Express (OMHA).

Game action for the local side sees them open up Thursday against Elgin-Middlesex at noon.

Later that same day they’ll take on Vaughan in an all-Kings’ affair at 7 p.m.

Thunder Bay’s Day 2 slate has them meeting Sault Ste. Marie in a 2 p.m. faceoff Friday, in their lone match-up of the day.

They’ll then wrap-up round robin competition, Saturday, April 11, in encounters with Ottawa and York-Simcoe at 12 p.m. and 7 p.m. respectively.

The Top 4 teams will advance to the semifinals on Sunday, April 12, while the clubs will compete for medals later in the day.
