TBFR Responds to Structure Fire at the Marina Overpass Encampment

 THUNDER BAY – NEWS – At 05:00 on 30th March 2026, Thunder Bay Fire Rescue responded to a structural fire at the Marina Overpass Encampment.

 Multiple unoccupied tents were on fire.  Attending fire crews quickly put out the blaze.

 Crews on scene confirmed no occupants were present or injuries sustained.

3 Pumper trucks and a Command vehicle were dispatched for the initial description of an ‘Unknown Fire’ in the area of North Cumberland St.

Thunder Bay Fire Rescue would like to remind members of the public not to leave open flame heating units unattended.
